Paeng's Roasted Chicken - Bohol's Best
Paeng's Roasted Chicken ison the savory sweet side. If your into this flavor i would say this is the chicken for you. I havent tried their liempo and spicy versions. I like this flavor, i mean you can eat this alone or paired with some drinks maybe soda, havent tried with alcohol, but i think the sweetness might get in the way, perhaps the herb or salty savory lechon manok is better for alcohol.. What caught my attention and i will give them this, is how tender and juicy the meat is. The marinade is done well, it flavored the meat.
Rating Overall: 9/10
Consitency: 1st time to buy so will see
Sweet Side
Tender Meat, proper marinade
I think they are known in bohol for their fried chicken, i didnt do research, but they have fried chicken neck, skin, and more. I tried there fried chicken neck and it was ok, not a wow, but good enough.

TOM'S Litson Manok
This TOM'S Litson Manok branch is near the Basak San Nicolas Barangay Hall, this used to be lembest chicken. Their litson manok i would say taste like your tradinal lechon manok, when i said traditional, no fancy marinade, but good traditional marination. If you miss that with all the fancy flavored lechon manok then this is for you. Sometimes i crave for this traditional way, its like all the lechon manok out there is all about the flavors, its good to taste the traditional style also. TOM'S Litson Manok's liempo style is more of like a kawali style than a lechon belly, i see it being roasted, perhaps the marinade that creates that effect. If your looking for like a cross breed between a kawali and a lechon belly then this will be your go to.
Rating Overall: 8/10
Consitency: consitent with the manok, the belly sometimes the skin is not crispy
traditional chicken style, liempo cross breed

Chicky' Oink
I havent tried other branches but this one has dine in, which is good, it serves students in the area.
1st we tried the liempo and perhaps it was how the liempo we stored during marinaing, that the flavors were only at the bottom part as you eat towards the fats near the skin, the flavor disappears. The skin wasnt crispy even on the 2nd attempt. Liempo meat was a little tough. This goes the same with their lechon manok, marination is not that good, flavors are just around the skin and meat areas near it. Break area has no flavor and a little dry already.
The marinade flavor is very good but the process didnt transfer that good flavor to both meat. What i like about this is that they sell lechon chicken neck, which i say is very good, the marinade flavor is this, image if it was the whole chicken.
Rating Overall: 6/10
Consitency: twice and still tough
Very good marinade flavor but process not good
Love the lechon chicken neck - this is where the concept pops up, the flavor will marinade to the neck (neck is 10/10)
