What to do when stormgain verification fails

First of all, this is a 3 step process which happen in a series, upload your ID, take a selfie and then upload a document with proof of address.

This is a recent action taken by stormgain for its kyc (know your client) requirements. Failure to verify your account restricts you from withdrawning your mined BTC (in usdt equivalence).

I've just been mining and parking my btc in the miner (reason for this is if you withdraw you will have 1 quater before the bonus disappears, actually every quarter stormgain resets the bonus. Inactive bonuses will be reset back to 0. If you hold the bonus and wait for a good entry then perhaps you might reach a quarter and be forced to trade at a back entry. Anyway, stormgain will notify you via email if your reaching the holding treashold), so the a recent pull back triggered me to withdrawn for a trade entry, before i didnt had these issue but now they want me to verify.

This is when my struggle happened. I uploaded my drivers license, took a selfie, and uploaded a photo of my proof of address. By the way all of these must be done with using your phone, I mean to take a photo of the documents using your phone, or you can use the laptop/pc which i did but the uploaded files were taken by my phone. After a few minutes, i got an email and the stormgain interface said verification failed.

I clicked on the verify again to submit document again, the failure was due to it didnt pass the required something for the document, so perhaps it was shaky or not clear because they specified that its should be will lighted and clear. So what I did was to scan my drivers license and cropped to fit the window of the box for document verification (which was vertical orientation and you know scans are horizontal orientation). By the time I also emailed and submitted a support form which is knows as request tickets.

I then submitted the cropped and scanned pic of my drivers license. This time its clear and sharp but still verification failed. A long waiting for the support to reply for my request, stormgain's social media group was faster in replying so i reached out to them to at least check on the support department. Let me tell you in advance this was like at least more than a week and a half of waiting until I was referred to the chat in the main stormgain website. I ask to look into the account and they said they will but still the waiting.

Then one day I saw a reply in one of my request and it said they dont accept drivers license. This confused me as driver license is an id card. They said ID card, what what exactly, if you search online for ID card, you can see drivers license but I guess they are referring to other cards like national id cards and stuff, they didnt realized that some countries dont have id cards and some dont even have signatures. Anyway so i used my bureau of internal revenues card, in my mind for sure this is more than for kyc this is from my country's internal revenues.Took a good sharp photo, cropped it to vertical orientation and submitted it, and you guessed it right still failed, so the next option is to use the passport.

By this time I got another reply in the request (noticed the replies have some delays in terms of days not in minutes) You should monitor the request since it doesnt email you that there is a reply, you have to check it constantly. The reply was "Please describe the issue in details"., which is a generic reply, since i got the same reply in my other request. The frustration of waiting for days, worst missing a good entry but this time a btc pump happened already.

Then a few more days letter a reply in one of my request got a reply and the reply was "As we can see your identity document was rejected cause you use image editors. All photos should be with original document, no filters or editors should be used." Then the light bulb lit up, I cropped the photos to make it horizontal, so what i did was to submit the original photo from my phone of the bureau of internatl revenue card as is. Submitted the proof of address sideways. And just like that Verification Successful.

Why, what happened? I was using the laptop to was able to crop resize then pic, which they dont want, they want as is straight from the phone. Not editing, i would agree too, no manipulation of the infos in the id. Although my editing was for the orientation and not to falsify or bad intent. Technically because of the instruction in submitting uploading the pic, if you have noticed the edge of the id was closed to the edge of the window so i can to edit pic i took with my phone.If you did your verification via your phone you could have avoided the cropping by taking horizontal photo and load as is. Also my phone is not good so good so its shaky and cant do a focused on closer photos.
